Nautical Journal Theme – July 2022

June was a fairly busy month! Lots of work, which hasn’t been great for content, but there’s a little there. And at the end of the month a fun family visit! July is not quite as hectic. For now though, I am starting the month as I always do, sharing my bujo, and this month I have a nautical journal theme!

Bujo Share

There’s a bit of black… and definitely red… I may have strayed from the monochrome theme a little this month.

A Day Out to – St Mawes Castle

This post would have originally been our first car show since the pandemic, but thanks to some inclement weather, it was cancelled! Not to waste a day off we decided to head down to St Mawes Castle, an English Heritage site, not too far from Falmouth.

A day out to...

This was a fun impromptu day out to make up for the lack of show! We visited from about 2pm, and they close at 5 on a Sunday. You can of course check the website for opening times and prices.

Jubilee 2022 Easy Cross-Stitch Crowns

One final craft for the Jubilee this weekend, something quick and simple to make, and a great keepsake! Some cute and easy cross-stitch crowns. You can even make up your own designs.

On the desk...

I’ve been cross-stitching for a long time now. I like to refer to it as my gateway craft!

To make these, I honestly just drew out a basic crown shape and went from there; which also means if you’re even a little creative, you can modify these to your hearts content!

Pretty Handmade Fabric Storage Box

I am a big fan of storage, but sometimes you just can’t find something that is the right size, or looks right… In the end I decided to create my own, which is super simple! Using only two fat quarters of fabric, and an old cardboard box; to make a pretty handmade storage box for my planner and supplies, so they are tidy and to hand.

On the desk...

This is quite an easy project, and can be done in a few different ways, depending on the time you have of the skills and equipment you have available.

Bedroom Redecorating – Boring to Bliss

The original talk about plans for bedroom redecorating happened back in 2020. And again last year. The trouble is, we rent, and we have a lot of stuff; couple that with two indoor cats and it all becomes a bit of a work up… We got there eventually!

Craft Room and Beyond, Home Header

In this post I thought I’d keep it brief, but share how we changed our bedroom simply by changing the paintwork! I’d still consider it a bit of a work in progress, but it looks miles better now!
