I wanted to do something a little different this month, and share some fab indie biz. It’s fairly officially Christmas shopping season, and it’s a great opportunity to support small business; shop indie; and spread a little love to those that may be struggling; as there are no craft fairs or the like this year!
So here are a range of some of the handmade products from some of my friends online! If you have a small business, get in touch and I’ll happily add you to the list! Please don’t link spam; if you have a gift guide similar to this one, do tell everyone about it in the comments below!

I thought I’d share something a bit different today, and that’s some handmade Disney cards!
I make cards as and when they’re needed; but rarely do what I did this week, which is make a few at once!
I’ve been working through my stash for ages; only buying what I really need, and this is something that I’ve had in a drawer for AGES! This was originally picked up because I (of course) love all things Disney, but it has since just sat there since, pretty much not getting used!
I found the kit in a drawer; while coming up with a card idea I will need soon, but thought, why not make up the rest too!

So we’re at the end of February! And I am seriously hoping that along with a new month, the weather starts to improve soon, because I am so bored of wind and rain!
This week has been quite good fun though…

Happy Wednesday! Yesterday it was Stu’s birthday, and so, I have of course done some crafting this week!

There will be a few regular posts appearing here on The Craft Room and Beyond each week or so, as well as each month, and one of those weekly (or possibly fortnightly) updates will be “On the Desk” each or every other Wednesday, where l will head into the craft room and share what I’m up to…

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Cricut. The opinions and text are all mine.
I will be completely honest, I have never given much thought to iron-on projects. This isn’t to say I’ve never had the idea, I just assumed it was too complicated or fiddly for me, as well as something at risk of being a bit of a fad, that I’d pay out for, before becoming bored with it, not using it or getting distracted with something else. This being the case, I haven’t really been aware of products to do this at home, though of course I know you can do certain projects at home with an iron. I don’t know the first thing about materials or methods.
This seems like a strange way to begin a post about a product designed for iron-on projects, but I wanted to stress that I am a complete novice here, it’s unexplored territory for me!

I was very kindly gifted a product within this post from Hobbycraft,
the gifted item has been clearly marked with an *
For Valentines day yesterday, Stu and I didn’t really have much planned. Neither of us really buy into the day, though we use it as an excuse to give each other a little present, and some chocolate (because any time is a good time for chocolate!). This year I decided I was going to make Stu something I’d promised a while ago!
I worked until 9pm, so we didn’t actually see each other until the evening! So we got a kebab and chilled watching Game of Thrones (we’ve been re-watching from the beginning, ahead of the new season coming out soon!) romantic huh!?

Valentines Day, is something neither Stu or I take very seriously, though we sometimes give fun gifts to each other anyway! It’s only a couple of weeks after Stu’s birthday, so we’re usually pretty relaxed about it.
It is however a chance to do a bit of crafting here on the blog, though I would say that although some are Valentines products, they could be made and given for many occasions, from birthdays, anniversaries to Mothers Day (March 31st UK readers), and of course weddings!

This time of year especially, it is nice to send a little note of thanks to certain people. Of course I make all of my cards, but even if this is not the usual, it can be a nice personal touch to thank somebody for a gift.

Throughout December on Instagram, I shared the wonderful craft supplies advent calendar which I was gifted by The Crafty Lass.
I thought I would share each photo of The Crafty Lass ADVENTure together here, from each of the 24 days. The advent calendar itself was 24 individual small boxes, each numbered and containing a crafty surprise for every day! It came beautifully packaged, and even came with a lovely note from Paula!
