I’m so glad we’re getting back to going out once or twice a month again; we’ve visited Trelissick already, and now it’s time for Lanhydrock Gardens. It’s a little more complicated with booking in advance, so a there’s not as much chance to be impulsive.
You can find out more about booking visiting times for the National Trust here.
But with the amazing weather we’re having at the moment; it’s so nice to get out, and enjoy some of our favourite places in the sunshine!
Of course the National Trust houses aren’t open yet; which is understandable, but it’s a rare treat to be able to get out and enjoy Lanhydrock’s beautiful gardens; which, if you’re eagle eyed when it comes to past posts, our visits usually get a bit rainy! (This is purely coincidental! We just have bad luck visiting when it comes to the weather!) The gardens are beautiful, and there is so much to see.

Well, it’s getting back to normal time for me; this week our store reopens (today in fact); so I’m back to work, and I’ll be heading back to a sort-of normal routine!
I’m off today; so we’re enjoying the very last of the good weather having booked a time-slot at my favourite National Trust property; Lanhydrock. Though of course the house remains closed, we plan on having a nice walk around the gardens and woodland there for a bit!

Finally we are able to get out and about again! So we’re heading not too far from home this week, to one of our favourite nearby National Trust sites, Trelissick Gardens.
Now I’m back to work facing the general public again, so, it meant we’ve decided to make the occasional booking for a day out again. At least here, a few places are open, in some capacity, with timed arrivals spots available for booking around a day or two in advance.
Of course this is a difficult time, but we really enjoy our wanders around local National Trust properties and gardens, and have missed them so much over the lockdown, so for our first wander (aside from the local park) we booked to visit Trelissick.

Well this has been a week and a bit hasn’t it! To begin: Happy June and Happy Pride Month. Huge love to anyone who needs it right now.
So, let us begin, with a mere statement. YOU can be WHOEVER you ARE. I will not judge you for that. I will judge you if you are intolerant of others. As far as I am concerned, if you don’t like something, you can be a grown up and self-censor. Walk away. Live and let live.
On with the week….

So we’re all back to normal after the April A-Z Challenge, but of course things for the last few weeks things have been far from “normal”. To begin, I just want to say a HUGE thank you to any keyworkers out there, whether frontline NHS and medical staff, or those working in shops and other businesses keeping us, our families and friends all safe and hopefully healthy. My heart goes out to those affected by the coronavirus, whether literally, or in terms of stress from the lockdown, working from home, home schooling, or those who are lonely and isolated. We are all in this together!
I confess, the situation has been quite bearable here, the A-Z challenge has been something of a blessing really in terms of avoiding the weekly posts of what I’ve been up to! There is only so much you can really say considering I last worked on the 23rd March! So, here we are at the beginning of May and while I haven’t been up to much, I thought I’d share what has been going on this April!

Hello March! This week has been mostly work, but outside of that I’ve tried to make the most of my time! We haven’t been out, just because there’s nothing really on that we want to see, and the weather has been awful! I’m hoping it’ll change soon!

Oh what a week it’s been, the weather here in Cornwall has been reasonably manageable, what with the recent stormy weather, though my thoughts go out to any of those affected by the flooding and other damage!
It’s been a very work based week, so I can’t say I’ve done all that much, but I can at least fill you in on things I didn’t mention from this month, in my previous update!

It’s been a couple of weeks but honestly the weather has been so abysmal, that between work and avoiding the rain, not much has been happening at all!
Until this week!
So of course it is Valentines day today, so this week has been all about happiness, fun, and all good things!

Happy Friday! We’re at the end of another week, and at the end of January!
This month really has seemed to drag, probably not helped by fairly rubbish weather, and not really going anywhere or doing much. It does mean however that I’ve actually spent time chilling and reading, and watching TV, and generally relaxing, which wasn’t really a thing last year!
This week however, has been slightly more interesting!

It has finally happened, in this eternal January, I have had a week, where I haven’t particularly done anything! Or not very much…
