Disney Magic – A-Z Challenge 2021

We’re BIG Disney fans in our house, and well, it just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t share a little Disney magic this April! Especially considering it was the entire subject of my A-Z Challenge last year!

Just a reminder that this year’s A-Z Challenge theme is A Retrospective, or look back at The Craft Room and Beyond, sharing a variety of content you may have missed, both years back and more recently! Easy String Eggs – Quick Easter Crafts

I see these “easy string eggs” all over the place online, but rarely see HOW to make them. So I thought I’d put some together, and share the process here; in case you wanted to make some of your own!

On the desk...

So, they’re super easy to make, and you don’t need much in the way of supplies or preparation. There IS however a lot of mess, so what follows is a simple step by step process. Of course these work for any time; depending on the colour, and you can make them any size you like, using thread, or yarn or even string!

Simple Table Runner – Quick Easter Crafts

When thinking about Easter this year; and how I was going to create content aimed at everyone, not just kids; I geared my thoughts more towards home, than Easter itself. One easy thing to do; for any season, is creating a simple table runner to set the tone for the season.

On the desk...

A table runner Kay, Really? Honestly, it’s true though. We don’t have much in the way of dressing for our dinner table; (which is usually home to piles of junk; and very occasionally my sewing machine). It’s mostly covered with an oilcloth tablecloth, with a bright funky diner design. But sometimes it’s nice to clear it off and actually eat there; and making a bit of a feature of it, makes it more special. And it’s EASY!

Mini Easter Canvas Art – Quick Easter Crafts

As we’re still in Lockdown; and I wanted to up my seasonal content; I’ve been looking for some fun Easter crafting. Mostly because I just want fun things to work on! I was checking out some quick things to do and found some cute mini Easter Canvas squares, which seemed just the thing!

On the desk...

So I love a bit of colouring, it’s relaxing, and colour in canvasses are easy to do with a handful of pens, if you don’t want the hassle of dealing with paint! I should point out, although I have worked with Hobbycraft in the past; this post is not sponsored; I just wanted to share it!

Bujo – March 2021 Setup

As a reminder, I’ve never attempted bullet journaling before. But having tried scrapbooking (a lot); something between scrapping and art journaling; and even just having a planner last year(!) I thought it was time I gave it a go! In this post I’m sharing my March 2021 setup…

Bujo Share

I got my journal for around £10 on Amazon, from Stationery Island; I actually got a kit which came with a ruler, some stickers (yay) and a pen.

Love Tree Update (Part 6) Colour Begins

So we’re back with the current project, and it’s a slightly brighter Love Tree update! I really wanted to get into stitching this week because I can finally stitch in colour!

On the desk...

As much as it has been fun to work in metallic thread, and find myself not totally hating the experience; for a change, I was delighted to thread something other than silver onto my needle this week! So what colour have I started with?
