It’s no secret that the craft room is a treasure trove of not only craft supplies; but many keepsakes and mementos. Whether it’s my collection of scrapbooks, handmade items or more random things!
This year my A-Z Challenge theme is: The Craft Room and Beyond – A Retrospective. A look back at previous content and basically a chance to share and revisit some things from the archive. As well as exploring things that haven’t made it to the blog yet! As I have said before; if you see something that piques your interest that I don’t link to; certainly seek out the search bar, or get in touch!
We’re BIG Disney fans in our house, and well, it just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t share a little Disney magic this April! Especially considering it was the entire subject of my A-Z Challenge last year!
Just a reminder that this year’s A-Z Challenge theme is A Retrospective, or look back at The Craft Room and Beyond, sharing a variety of content you may have missed, both years back and more recently! I’ll be covering a variety of themes and topics through the month, but of course there’s always the search bar if you’re looking for anything in particular! (And of course you can contact me any time!)
It was our anniversary last week; and Stu and I decided a couple of months ago to book a break away. We found some cheap flights to Venice; and as it’s on our (rather long) list of places we’d like to go, we went for it.
Finding a nice but reasonably low budget hotel, as we never really spend any time there, other than sleeping. Aside from this, arranging transport and parking we didn’t spend much at all.
We had planned to visit two national trust sites on the Saturday of our weekend in Somerset, though after a morning at Montacute House, we finished looking around Barrington Court at around 3pm, and figured we had just enough time to visit somewhere else! So we headed to the nearby Lytes Cary Manor…
Recently we spent the weekend in Somerset, just to get away for a couple of days! We’re on a bit of a budget at the moment, and so we decided to check out a couple of nearby National Trust sites, as we are members, so get free entry to lots of sites in the UK, which of course we haven’t explored before!
There’s nothing like a break away, and we recently had a weekend away in Somerset, staying in the pretty village of Montacute, and after going to Haynes Motor Museum on the way, we set out to visit a couple of National Trust sites nearby to enjoy a relaxed sunny Saturday… Continue reading “Somerset 2019 (Part 2) – Montacute House”→
This year, instead of heading out of the UK, we visited Somerset, there were a few places we had talked about wanting to visit, and having limited time off work, it seemed the perfect choice to have a break away, on a bit of a budget. We booked a B&B in the village on Montacute and headed up on the Friday, to return on Sunday, filling three days with about as much activity as we could! We love getting away, and usually all being well go abroad once a year, and somewhere in the UK at least once. Living in Cornwall we’re very lucky to have things to do locally, but it’s nice to get out of town for a while, find somewhere new, and explore!
With this in mind we have booked a mini trip away next week, staying in Montecute, Somerset, where we’ll be doing some of our usual national trusting and visiting a couple of other fun places too! So expect lots of day out posts soon!!
Do you have “staycations”? Is there anywhere you regularly visit here in the UK?
It is finally time to share my Disneyland Paris Anniversary scrapbook! The Disneyland Paris 25th Anniversary celebrations; was our second Disney holiday back in 2017. Of course I always planned to create a scrapbook of the trip, but it took me over a year to actually get it done!
Now the book is finally finished; and of course I’m really pleased with it! So, of course; I took some photos of my layouts and thought I’d share it here on the blog!
If you’d like to see more of my travel scrapbooks, let me know. I have different books from a few different places, including Prague, our first Disney trip and Paris, and a few of different years of general scrapbooking, so leave me a comment if you enjoy this post and would like to see more!
