Knitting and Sewing Cards: April A-Z

Day 11! In case you missed it; It’s that time again, A-Z Challenge season! This month I am keeping things simple; sharing makes past and present, as well as a few I’ll try to create just for the challenge! Today I thought I would share some cards involving other crafts, so here are some knitting and sewing cards!

An A-Z of handmade cards - April A-Z Challenge 2022

Each post I will try to share around five or six pics of handmade cards; using different styles, methods and elements. For an added challenge, I will be working entirely from my craft stash! (I do have a ridiculous amount of papers, embelishments and what not to use!)

Tea Time Mini Cross-Stitch

This year I decided I wasn’t going to do a big stitching project, and just work on random bits I haven’t done, or use some of the mini kits in my stash. So today I’m sharing one such kit, a Mouseloft tea time mini cross-stitch.

On the desk...

I quite like mini kits, as I can just work on them in an evening watching tv or a film. They’re never very complicated, and tend to be quite cute.

12 Days of Christmas 2021 – Festive X-Stitch

I wanted to do more Christmas crafting this year, but time is definitely not on my side this year. On the other hand, it has been fun to look at smaller quick projects and makes. In this post I’ll share some fun festive cross stitching, including the one piece I’ve managed to x-stitch this year.

I’ve always enjoyed cross-stitch, and find it quite relaxing. While things are definitely busy, it’s nice to take a few minutes out for a bit of mindful crafting.

Mini Halloween Cross Stitch

Just for fun, I thought I’d work on stitching a little seasonal something! So I picked up this cute Mouseloft mini Halloween cross-stitch kit. I really love these little kits as they’re quick to stitch, and are a little crafty break, not taking up too much time.

Blogtober - The Craft Room and Beyond

I stitched this little kit while watching some TV one evening.

Do you have any creative favourites this spooky season?

Pride 2021 and the Craftic Challenge

June is of course Pride month, and for Pride 2021, I wanted to do a couple of things! First of all I wanted to do a craft project, I also wanted to buy from an LGBTQ+ small, indie business; and in doing so, support someone’s dreams, and get something pretty for me; but something that was also representative of Pride. I also wanted to take part in the Craftic Pride Rainbow Challenge!

Wow, that’s a busy little list, when you add it to the projects I’m working on already, and the 30 Days Wild, and of course not forgetting the day job…

Stitching – Love Tree Progress (Part 8)

Happy Friday! (Or of course whenever you are reading this)! We’re back to somewhat normal scheduling, and that means back to stitching – Love Tree is getting along since the last update. Some more colour added, and it’s starting to take shape, though of course there’s a way to go yet.

On the desk...

For those who haven’t seen previous updates; this is a cross-stitch kit; aptly named Love Tree; based on artwork by Kim Anderson, and produced by Bothy Threads. I fell in love with the design when I saw it, and received it for Christmas a couple of years ago; so I’ve had it in my stash a while now! I have decided 2021 is the year it gets done!

Jewels and Sparkle – A-Z Challenge 2021

We’re finally here, J. My most dreaded of letters for this years challenge. Honestly; I wrote a list and couldn’t come up with anything for J! Someone suggested jewellery; but I don’t do much in the way of making jewellery (though I’ve had a go here and there)! Though I do use jewels, gems, glitter, beads and sparkle a lot in crafting!

A-Z Challenge 2021

This year my A-Z Challenge theme is: The Craft Room and Beyond – A Retrospective. A look back at previous content and basically a chance to share and revisit some things from the archive. As I have said before; if you see something that piques your interest that I don’t link to; certainly seek out the search bar, or get in touch!

Historic Houses – A-Z Challenge 2021

Something you will of course find a fair bit of here on the blog, are posts about our days out, and local wanderings! We love visiting some of the historic houses and sites here in cornwall; as well as many other places of interest!
