12 Days of Christmas 2019 – 9 – Christmas Fun: Chocolate Decorating

It’s almost time! Are you panic buying? Calm? Enjoying all the festivities?

We’re fairly calm now, all the presents for posting have been sent on their way, and I can finally relax with just the last few bits to do in the next couple of days, for here at home.

With that it mind, we decided to have a little fun!

Painted Garden Furniture * Project Garden

Painted garden furniture was something I had in mind for the garden; which I never thought I’d actually do! Something that always seemed a little too adventurous, and probably too difficult to do. But in the spirit of doing up the garden, and making it a much more fun space to hang out in; here we are!

This post contains a gifted product or products*, the content of this post is entirely my opinion.

In the garden

As I say, painting the plastic furniture, seemed a little too much of a pipe dream; until I was chatting recently with the lovely people at Pinty Plus about a collaboration!

*Date Night* March 2019

March! It’s been a fairly quiet month again this month, mostly because we’ve been really  busy with work, though we have had a little down-time here and there, so here’s a bit of a catch up!

Date Night graphic

We’ve not had any events in March, which means it’s been fairly quiet generally, we did enjoy a day out in St Ives (which you can read all about here)! That’s about the extent of our going out this month, the joy of how days off have come up recently, coupled with some rather hit-or-miss weather!

Recipe Book: St Pirans Day – Cornish Pasties

We had a bit of fun this past weekend, something neither of us has done before, and make some Cornish Pasties but we thought we’d have a bit of fun and blog about it!

Recipe Book

It’s St Pirans Day today! A day to celebrate all things Cornwall, and though I’m not Cornish, and many would say Stu isn’t either (you have to be born here apparently!) we thought we’d have a go at making proper cornish pasties!

Shadow Box Frame Gift *

For Valentines day yesterday, Stu and I didn’t really have much planned. Neither of us really buy into the day; though we use it as an excuse to give each other a little present. And some chocolate (because any time is a good time for chocolate!). This year I decided I was going to make Stu something I’d promised a while ago; a shadow box frame gift!

Feel the Love

I was very kindly gifted a product within this post from Hobbycraft, the gifted item has been clearly marked with an *

An A-Z of the Craft Room

I had a bit of a tidy up and sort out in the craft room recently; and it got me thinking about how individual a space it is! wondering how I would go about doing a room tour post, and I decided to do an A-Z. Which might give you a little more insight into me, if you’re new to the blog, or just feeling nosy! So here we go an A-Z of the craft room!

Blogmas 2018 – Made in Cornwall – Truro Christmas Market

I look forward to visiting the local Christmas market here in Truro every year; it’s always great fun and a great chance to see some wonderful handmade products made in Cornwall. I always try to do a bit of my Christmas shopping here; and there are usually some cheeky samples to enjoy too!

While I was having a wander, I thought I’d take some photos of some of the brilliant handmade products around the market! There were SO many stalls I didn’t get a chance to take photos of; as it was extremely busy, but here are a few things I loved!

Blogmas 2018 – Christmas Hoop Art *

Hoop art, is definitely more popular now than it was a few years ago, and it is a great craft for making a gift, or even decorating at Christmas, there are SO many great Christmas fabric designs which are really good fun for many projects; and it is nice to have a different use if you’re not big on sewing, as I wasn’t up til a couple of years ago!

This post contains items which I have kindly been gifted * All opinions are my own.

Christmas 10

Christmas fabric is also a great eco friendly alternative to paper for wrapping! Especially for those harder to wrap gifts!
