12 Days of Christmas 2017 – Locally Sourced Christmas Hamper

I love making a Christmas Hamper, it’s a versatile, fun gift to put together and you can really make them bespoke for who you’re gifting them to! I thought I’d share one of mine with you to get you inspired!

Christmas 11

Are you looking for a last-minute gift idea, or one that you can plan ahead for? Hampers are suitable for so many occasions, and here’s one I made up for family this Christmas.

I absolutely adore making up hamper presents! You can fill them with so many wonderful things, popcorn and sweets and a DVD or two for a movie lover, comfy socks, some nice pampering treats and some hot chocolate and a mug to send a relaxing self indulgent gift, or as I have done here, some local goodies, to send further afield!

I love to send a little bit of Cornwall home at Christmas time, as my family all live in Sussex, so every year I like to visit the local Christmas market and buy some locally produced items and send them to everyone.

Christmas Hamper - Cornish goodies

The hamper was super easy to make up! I actually bought the basket and cellophane in Wilko; and the Cornish tartan ribbon I have had in my stash for a while. To complete it I added some tissue paper to line the basket; and wrapped everything together, before tying a bow (you may need an extra pair of hands for that part!).

Alternatively you can individually wrap items in a hamper, which you can see in this post.

Inside you can see some Furniss Shortbread, Roskilly’s Clotted Cream Fudge and some Trenance Chocolate. There are also some more biscuits in there and some local jam!

Have you made up hampers for gifts?
