I’ve created handmade cards for so long, but I don’t really share them on the blog anymore! I thought I’d take this opportunity in a fairly quiet month, to look back at some of my favourite makes!
I keep planning on sharing, my cards nowadays, and then don’t! So in the meantime, I’m digging out some pics of old handmade cards, so excuse the weird cropping and bad lighting…
Here are a few of my favourites:
Stamped hearts, Silver anniversary card I really like this stamp but it’s a bit random to use generally. While the card is pretty underwhelming it’s very silver for a silver anniversary!
This one was from a kit, but I do love the car -it’s all 3D which is a bit different to my usual style, but was fun to put together! I like the idea of making something like this, but designing the layered pieces myself!
This is possibly one of my favourites ever, pearlescent card, glittery card, lots of shiny things! What could be bad about that! These pearlescent card blanks were lovely actually. I haven’t seen them around in years, they are a bit smaller than I tend to work with now!
This was another one I really liked, just because of how simple it was. I had a set of elements which were all guitar and music based, but nothing seemed to work with the black and silver ones.
Handmade cards – Butterfly in cross-stitch
I think this is the only card I’ve made like this! It was fun to make something different, and I really like the colours! Having the ribbon in my stash that perfectly matches the papers was one of those total ‘happy crafter’ moments!
This one is one of a couple of cards I’ve made, by printing out the main image. I don’t actually like doing this very often, as I like the work being all my own. But my brother is a HUGE Doctor Who fan, and it had to be done! I think it turned out pretty well though!
Do you send handmade cards? Would you like to see more of mine, either here or on social media? I’d love to know, as I’d hate to share if people aren’t interested, or of course not share if it’s what you’d like to see!Follow me on social media
