Ok, so, I held off until November! This month is of course the lead up to Christmas, or at least advent; so, for those of you planning and plotting, or simply looking for some ideas; I will be sharing some festive content. To begin, I thought I’d start with something that could take a little more time, some cross stitch Christmas cards.
Over the next few weeks I’ll share lots of tips and ideas including crafts for gifts and decorating, as well as gift ideas (with the help of some friends in a couple of guest posts) throughout November.
Cross-stitching a card takes a little more time than a standard card, though they don’t have to be difficult! They make a great keepsake for any milestone Christmas celebrations, for example a first Christmas as a married couple, or with a new baby!
Cross Stitch Christmas Cards
I used to do a lot of mini kits, most of which came free with cross-stitch magazines!
Here are a few cards I have made over the years:
For some other cross-stitch card ideas check out this post!
I once made about 20 Mouseloft mini kits as cards in a month, I don’t really recommend that, definitely make the kits, they’re incredibly cute and fun – just give yourself a little more time!
Then there were fun snowflake themed cards I made one year, on coloured backgrounds.
Hobbycraft and various other places also do small kits which are perfect for cards – I got this Tatty Teddy kit from DMC last year:

This is such a lovely idea! I’m not at all crafty as I’m rubbish at it and also very clumsy, but I’d love to receive something like this. It’s that bit more thoughtful and meaningful!

Thank you! They’re nice for special Christmases definitely! You’d be surprised how easy it is, you should get a mini kit and have a go! I find stitching incredibly relaxing and great to switch off in terms of MH. x
