Oh what a week it’s been, the weather here in Cornwall has been reasonably manageable, what with the recent stormy weather, though my thoughts go out to any of those affected by the flooding and other damage!
It’s been a very work based week, so I can’t say I’ve done all that much, but I can at least fill you in on things I didn’t mention from this month, in my previous update!
So, the weather, two back to back storms didn’t have too much of an effect on us, although, the same cannot be said for the tree in our front garden!
It has meant I’ve done more reading, which as you can see in my 35 before 35 post is a bit of a year goal for me! I’m already on my second book of the year, reading this:
I have read this before, but not for a long time, and it’s nice revisiting some of the familiar stories you may recognise as films; The Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me.
I’ve worked a lot this week but the weather did manage to cheer up a little, and treated myself to some crafty goodies using my birthday Hobbycraft gift card, so I’ll have some mini projects to share soon, while I work for ages on the big cross-stitch project and lots of knitting!
To share the joy I thought I’d share this very unoriginal photo of a double rainbow taken from my window!
I also (finally) got my hair cut for the first time in about two years! Mostly to sort out split ends, but also, it’s just a nice little treat! Huge thanks goes out to the lovely staff at Calmante Truro, who sorted me out with a last minute evening appointment this week, and did such a fab job on the mess that is my hair!
I’m now off to pick a star from the jar for the Friday Night Film, and spend the rest of the evening relaxing, and trying to figure out what to do this weekend!
