Before I get to my Autumn favourites, I thought I’d explain a little….
I thought I would do something a little different this month, and try Blogtober, now technically that means 31 days of posts, but posting every day, and working is a little much for me.
I will be posting every day on Instagram, but here on the blog there will be more content, and some extra fun things throughout the month, from crafts and decor ideas, to getting out and about and enjoying more of Autumn!
So as a bit of an introduction to the season, I thought I’d share some of my favourites…
I was tagged in this fab autumn favourites tag by the lovely Jupiter and Dann from Life with Jupiter and Dann, it’s their first Blogtober too, and so I think this is a great introduction to the month. To Blogtober and all the fun that will happen this month!
What’s your favourite fall scent?
I definitely think of warm spicy scents in Autumn, like nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, so I want to just say, baking. When those gorgeous spices work their way from the kitchen…
Do you prefer pumpkin pie or apple pie?
I’m not sure I’ve even had pumpkin pie, but I know I love apple pie. Apple Crumble is probably my go-to though!
What’s one autumn tradition you have?
We go out for more walks in Autumn, it’s so pretty and inviting! It’s the calm before the chaos of Christmas, and great for just relaxing and having fun.
What are you planning on dressing up as for Halloween?
I’m not sure we’re going to be doing anything for Halloween this year, given the way 2020 has gone, not that we do parties of anything else usually. I’m still not sure whether things will be like other years, as I doubt people will be trick or treating this year.
What are you most excited for in Fall?
I love this time of year anyway, but in November it’s my birthday, and a couple of weeks before that Stu and I celebrate our anniversary, and it’s 10 years this year! So I’m pretty excited to celebrate that this year, though we don’t know what we’re doing yet!
What is your favourite scary movie?
I love a good horror movie, Silence of the Lambs is probably my favourite film of all time, but I also like Jaws and Alien. But for Halloween I like to watch some classic horrors like Halloween, and Friday the 13th.
What is your favourite Halloween candy?
We don’t really get anything specific. But I do like to get some treats in anyway! Whether it’s chocolate or something fun like Haribo. Extra Halloween goodies always seem to end up in some baking too, which is always good fun!
Favourite Pumpkin Spiced flavour thing?
Here it’s all coffee, and I don’t drink coffee. But I do like how it smells… Maybe I should get a pumpkin spice candle!?
What is your warmest Fall memory?
I have so many things I love about this season, but I always love remembering those little moments, like going for walks in pretty gardens among the fallen leaves, relaxed catch ups over a hot drink, and of course cosy nights in under a blanket with a big bowl of popcorn and a movie.
What is your favourite autumn must have?
It’s got to be a good pair of boots, perfect for a wander, and of course for indoors, it’s got to be lots of lovely craft supplies to play with! Because Autumn is the time for all sorts of creative fun!
