The Hallotober Tag – Blogtober 2020

I was tagged back at the beginning of spooky season by the lovely Jordanne, from The Life of a Glasgow Girl, creator of The Hallotober Tag!

To make things a little different, as I did a tag at the beginning of my Blogtober posts, Stu is joining me, so this time, you get double the answers!

What foolows is 13 questions, answered by both me and Stu, just for fun, mostly with a Halloween theme!

The Hallotober Tag:

1. What’s your favourite thing about October?

K – Mostly watching a whole bunch of horror movies (Check out my 31 Days of Horror posts over on Twitter!)

S – It’s not hot anymore! Also of course, getting to watch spooky movies, and all the autumnal colours!

2. Are you a big celebrator of Halloween?

K – Not really, I like the lead up, and the excuse to do some fun crafts and baking though!

S – No.

3. What’s your favourite horror movie?

K – Generally, my favourite movie is Silence of the Lambs, but it’s not very Halloween-y, although we watch all sorts of things through October!

S – I keep thinking the original 1978 Dawn of the Dead.

4. Would you rather a cosy night in watching horrors or a big night out in a costume?

K – Haha night in, I usually open the door to trick or treaters, and sometimes get motivated to dress up for the fun of it though!

S – *laughs* do you need to ask? Night in obviously!

Autumnal Living, Halloween, black cat, candles, cushion, blankets

5. Which has been your most favourite costume to date?

K -No idea, I enjoy getting creative though, and coming up with character-esque costumes from my actual clothes, and messing with makeup.

S – I’ve never been one for dressing up for Halloween, I liked doing Captain America cosplay at comic-con though!

Check out my other October tag here.

6. Bobbing for apples or pin the hat on the witch?

K – Probably pin the hat on the witch, because I’d be nervous about my teeth! (I have a crowned front tooth)

S -Bobbing for applies, I like apples, why not!

7. How do you celebrate Halloween?

K – A night in with a good scary movie, and some spooky treats!!

S – Watching horror movies, and watching Kay get more annoyed every time she has to get up and answer the door…

8. What’s your least favourite horror?

K – I have a few I’m not really a fan of, but the horror umbrella is pretty vast. I’m not really a fan of body horror, or really gross-out horror.

S – Yeah… I’m thinking stuff like Hostel, just nastiness…

9. Do you have a favourite trick or treating memory?

K – Not really, we used to go when I was little, but nothing very memorable.

S – I think I’ve only been once when I was younger.

10. What’s your favourite thing about Halloween?

K – I’ve got really into the decorating and crafting this year which has been fun!

S – All the treats! And the good movies scares (rare these days!)

11. Scary costume or Silly costume?

K – Scary! I don’t get the whole silly costume thing… It just doesn’t make sense to me.

S – Britta’s silly costumes in Community are my favourite!

12. What’s your favourite Halloween candy?

K – Do we even really have specific Halloween sweets in the UK? I tend to get chocolate for trick or treaters, and bake with whatever is left over!

S – Haribo tangfastics! Because theyre properly trashy and bad for you.

13. Ghost decorations or skeleton decorations?

K – I have a bit of both, with skulls and a ghost candle holder, but I definitely seem to have swayed more towards pumpkins this year!

S – Ghosts! They’re far more spooky!
