I thought I’d share something a little different this year, and throw in one for the grown-ups; with some fun Christmas Cocktails!

We all like a little tipple at Christmas, and as some of us are going out a little less this year, why not have a little fun at home. Please drink responsibly!

Christmas 5

These fab Christmas Cocktails, can all be made fairly easily, with ingredients you may even already have at home!

Christmas Cocktails

I joined forces with a friend for a bit of pre-Christmas fun one evening, for a bit of cocktail making! We had a few of the usual staples at hand, and thought we’d see what we could make with what we could find in the kitchen! (She did bring a couple of things with her too!)

What follows is 8 Christmas Cocktail creations!

Prosecco Royale

Prosecco Royale

I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit of a prosecco fan, but sometimes on it’s own, I find it a bit…. boring? Add some creme de casis and lemon juice for a pretty (and tasty alternative!)

Christmas Citrus G&T

Festive citrus gin and tonic

Citrus is something that seems to make things seem more Christmassy! Add some orange liqueur to your classic gin and tonic for some festive flavour! For a little more flair, sugar the rim of your glass with edible orange glitter!

Love Under the Mistletoe

Love under the mistletoe

A little play on a summer classic, with some vodka, mixed with orange and passionfruit juices, with the addition of blue curacao to turn it a very Christmassy shade of green!

Classic Whisky Sour

Whisky Sour

If you’re more a whisky drinker, why not work with the festive citrus flavours and blend bourbon and orange juice for this tasty classic!

We were of course blasting the Christmas music as we made these, check out some of our favourite Christmas songs in this post!

The Nutcracker

Christmas Cocktails - The Nutcracker

If you’re anything like me, Baileys is a classic staple to the Christmas line-up; and the sweet almond flavour of Amaretto works SO well with Irish Cream. Shake up with some cream and serve, topped with some cocoa powder for a sweet treat!

Cranberry “Mimosa”

Cranberry Mimosa

Add some cranberry juice to your prosecco for a fun and festive take on a classic cocktail!

The Mean One

The Mean One

We had a bit of fun with this one, mixing some peach schnapps, rum, blue curacao and lemonade and some orange juice to get the right colour, you can never really be a Grinch with this fun drink!

The Naughty List Margarita

The Naughty List - Christmas Cocktails

Both big margarita fans, we read about this cocktail and thought we’d try it out, though we weren’t totally convinced at first! We sugared a margarita glass, adding tequila, lime juice and sugar syrup, along with a dash of red wine! Turns out it’s really nice!
