Love Tree Progress (Part 5) So Long Silver

There have been a couple of updates around, but it’s been a while since I shared the Love Tree progress…

On the desk...

Love Tree, is of course my cross-stitch kit in progress; and I am happy to reveal where I’m at so far…

Honestly, it is no secret that I am not a fan of metallic threads; I find them annoying to work with, though thankfully I still have some thread heaven! I was sort-of dreading starting this project in the new year; due to the sheer amount of silver stitching. My goal was to get it out of the way by the end of January.

It’s a little later than planned, but I am happy to announce; that the Love Tree progress reports will now have some more colour in them!

For what it’s worth, it hasn’t been too bad, and I think it looks great! There are a couple of places I will need to go over, and fix, but I’m happy with moving on!

Considering I chose to start this kit in the new year; and have since been distracted by birthdays and seasonal stuff, I think I’m making pretty good progress! I am trying to work on it at least some time each week, which is quite nice in lockdown!

I love the shape and the detailing in this tree.

You can check out more about the kit and the design; in the first post here.

For a bit of fun, what colour shall I choose to work with next? Do you think I should do a poll on Twitter and work in order of voted favourites? The colours to choose from are: Pink, red, green, blue and yellow.

I’m SO looking forward to working in something more interesting; as much as I’m quite proud that I didn’t give up on the silver; these colours are so pretty, and totally give me spring vibes!

I hope you’ve had a great week! I’d love to know what you’re working on; so do leave a comment, or drop me a note on social media (links below).
