And we’re at the end of the first full week of Blogtober 2021, and it wouldn’t be a major blogging season without a Tag! As we all know I love a good tag to break up the regular content; (do tag me in any, seriously)!
So here’s a bit of themed fun with ten questions all about Halloween and the autumn season.
I spied this fun Blogtober 2021 Tag over at Life With Jupiter and Dann, and couldn’t resist taking part. I love a good Q and A session! Just for fun I roped Stu in too.
What is your favourite fall accessory?
K – It’s got to be scarves and boots; it just feels so cosy this time of year!
S – My warm hoody-jacket.
Where do you go to purchase new Halloween decorations / items?
K – We don’t really look anywhere specific. Obviously I make quite a lot of it, so I tend to explore craft shops and see what I can find. But we buy things all over the place, from Poundland and the supermarket, to TKMaxx and other high street shops I guess.
S – Yeah exactly, we don’t really do a lot for Halloween.
What is one autumn tradition you have?
K – Aside from all the seasonal crafting and work getting crazy? Baking I suppose.
S – We don’t really have any, we go out more, now that summer is over and it’s less busy.
What is your favourite Halloween Movie?
K – I’m a big horror fan at the best of times, but there’s something about cosying up under a blanket with a good scary film, when the nights are getting darker earlier!
S – Either the Michael Myers “Halloween” (The original one) or some classic Romero zombie goodness!

What is one candy you’d hope to not see in your bag while trick-or-treating?
K – I can’t remember the last time I went trick or treating haha… All treats are good though right?
S – Bounty… “I hate coconut… not the taste, the consistency! *blegh*”
Pumpkin spice latte or hot chocolate?
K – I don’t drink coffee, so I guess that’s obvious! I love all the flavours of hot chocolate this time of year though!
S – Pumpkin Spice!
Cosiest thing to wear as the weather gets colder?
K – All the big jumpers and fluffy socks!
S – I already covered that… But I do have a collection of scarves!
What is the coolest design you’ve ever carved or painted onto a pumpkin?
K – I’ve done a few fun ones, I try to have a bit of a laugh with it, I shared some in this post.
S – I don’t, you do it, I liked the sugar skull one!
K – I don’t have any photos so I think I’m gonna do it again this year.
Do you prefer bonfires on an autumn evening or haunted houses once the sun is down?
K – I’d quite like the idea of doing a haunted house, but there’s something so cool about bonfire night.
S – Yes. This.
What are you most excited for this autumn?
K – Free time (haha) hopefully managing a day out somewhere among the crazy weather and both of us working when the other isn’t? In the long run for Autumn, our anniversary in mid-November and maaaaybe my birthday, but that’s a long way off yet.
S – Getting away in November! Going away for the first time in like two years; that’s keeping me going at the moment. And then Christmas prep, yeah!
