Recipe Book: St Pirans Day – Cornish Pasties

We had a bit of fun this past weekend, something neither of us has done before, and make some Cornish Pasties but we thought we’d have a bit of fun and blog about it!

Recipe Book

It’s St Pirans Day today! A day to celebrate all things Cornwall, and though I’m not Cornish, and many would say Stu isn’t either (you have to be born here apparently!) we thought we’d have a go at making proper cornish pasties!

Recipe Book – Chocolate Star Frosted Cupcakes

So for a quick easy post, inspired by the skirt I shared at the beginning of the month, I thought I would share a quick and easy cupcakes recipe, that is easy, fun for both kids and adults, and really versatile (which is always good!)

Recipe Book

I use this quite often as it’s a sort-of store cupboard recipe, and you can use whatever you have laying around in terms of toppings, fillings and flavourings.

Halloween Baking: Very Berry Sponge Cake – Blogtober 2020

I’m no stranger to Halloween baking, as I do something every year, but this year I thought I would do something a little different, and bake a cake!

Blogtober - The Craft Room and Beyond

We don’t need an excuse for cake in our house in all honesty, so I thought it would be fun, to make something tasty, sweet and Halloween themed, basically so I could blog about it this month.

Pumpkin Carving – Blogtober 2020

Who’s been carving pumpkins? We have actually decided not to do a pumpkin carving this year, mostly because I usually do it so people know they can trick or treat at our house, as locally, people only visit decorated houses.

Blogtober - The Craft Room and Beyond

There is still some fun though we have got some decorations for the window for anyone pumpkin spotting in the area!

I thought I’d share some of my past creations, and a fun hanging pumpkin sign I made for the window!

Autumn Fruit Picking – Blogtober 2020

Is there anything more autumnal than visiting a pumpkin patch? While it’s a little early to be picking up a pumpkin; this weekend we headed to a local pick-your-own for some autumn fruit picking!

Blogtober - The Craft Room and Beyond

It’s been a while since either of us have been fruit picking, but we thought, why not! A nice excuse for some fresh air, and exercise, and a bit of fun!

*Date Night* March 2019

March! It’s been a fairly quiet month again this month, mostly because we’ve been really  busy with work, though we have had a little down-time here and there, so here’s a bit of a catch up!

Date Night graphic

We’ve not had any events in March, which means it’s been fairly quiet generally, we did enjoy a day out in St Ives (which you can read all about here)! That’s about the extent of our going out this month, the joy of how days off have come up recently, coupled with some rather hit-or-miss weather!
