It seems like far too recently I was posting Christmas content! This year, has without a doubt been one of the strangest! But here we are bringing some shine and festivity to the end of the year; with 12 Days of Christmas 2020!
I’d go out on a limb and say this might be the last one of these for a while, but you never know what’s going to happen in a year! After all, this blog is almost one year old now, and somehow I’m now self-hosted, and things are very different , but also somehow the same. And if you know me at all; you know I LOVE Christmas!
Most of these “Day 1 of blogmas” posts start with a plan…
I planned this a little while ago… Well, when I say I planned this project, I knew I wanted to make a Christmas cushion. It was choosing the design that took a little more time!
Way back when I planned the Halloween Cat Cushion, I also planned this project! (How’s that for organised?!) So when I picked up the plain black cotton cushion cover in Ikea, I also picked up a red one!
We have Santa and snowman themed pegs for our cards; as we don’t have much space for putting cards up. Before that we have used the age old classic string across the wall! If you want to get creative and make your own Christmas card hanger; I thought I’d share how super simple it is!
We are lucky enough to get quite a few cards at Christmas time. I usually participate in at least one card swap; as well as sending to a few online friends. Sometimes I then offer to send a handmade card or two online if I have any left; as I make them all in one go, and sometimes end up with extras! So keep an eye on Twitter!
Last year in the Crafty Lass ADVENTure advent calendar, there were a few things I wasn’t totally sure what I would find a use for, and one of them was the polystyrene ball… I wanted to make a string wrap bauble for the tree in red and green, as these are the colours we tend to go for in the living room at Christmas.
In the end I took inspiration from some of the handmade decorations we have on our tree, some of which were made by Stu’s Grandma! I kind of like the amount of memories and mementos on our tree.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes December feels so incredibly hectic, and you really want to be creative, or maybe get crafty with kids, but you don’t have time? Try some of these ideas to make your own quick and easy Christmas cards!
This is just a small list of ideas for you to be able to create some cute handmade Christmas cards!
