An A-Z of the Craft Room

I had a bit of a tidy up and sort out in the craft room recently; and it got me thinking about how individual a space it is! wondering how I would go about doing a room tour post, and I decided to do an A-Z. Which might give you a little more insight into me, if you’re new to the blog, or just feeling nosy! So here we go an A-Z of the craft room!

Traveller Notebooks – For a Blogging Journey

I am a self-confessed stationery addict. Needing to stay organised; I have notebooks all over the place; an essential for everyone, blogger, traveller or just those that are busy! But recently have been utterly lost because my handbag sized notebook ran out; and I hadn’t got round to buying one! I just couldn’t find one that suited what I needed…

It is used for a lot; mostly blog planning and social media, but considering I’m also running #CraftBlogClub, I note down chat plans too. And then there’s day-to-day to-do list stuff.

Chatting on #CraftBlogClub fairly recently Sarah was sharing her handmade Traveller Notebooks from her site: Adventure Accessories. Which are utterly beautiful –

Fat Quarter Project – Needle Wrap and More

A little over a year ago I purchased a fat quarter of really pretty Alice in Wonderland cotton fabric at a craft show. Simply because I liked the pattern and the subtle colours; though I love all things Alice, and have slight theming in the craft room! I just needed the right fat quarter project!

When I bought it, I had no idea what I was going to make with it, it was definitely one of those “just really like the print” purchases, (you know what I mean right?) and so, of course it sat in storage, not forgotten, just awaiting inspiration.

Knitting the Doctor Who Scarf

Ah, knitting the Doctor Who scarf. This is something I know a thing or two about by now…

Ah the Doctor Who scarf, made famous of course by the Fourth Doctor played by Tom Baker.

There are patterns readily available for free online (Just google it) and this particular story begins when a colleague was making one a few years ago. I thought it looked pretty simple, and therefore I thought I’d have a go; because my brother is a huge Doctor Who fan! I’d just started knitting at the time, and it really is a simple project.

Upcycled Jeans – Retro Cropped Trousers – TBT Projects

This was originally posted on my old blog as part of an upcycling challenge; but I love my upcycled jeans – retro cropped trousers, so needed to share them here.

This is what I love most about these Throwback Thursday posts; is getting the chance to look back on projects I am especially proud of.

Throwback Thursday

The challenge, as introduced by Jenniffer Taylor, queen of the #sewingrevolution, former Sewing Bee contestant… was to upcycle anything…

April 2017 – This Month and Month Ahead

This Month is a new feature I had been planning to add in, in the new year, though it’s been a bit delayed. Joy of working full-time, and making things in between really.

I’ve been writing this blog for a few months now, slowly making it how I want, with some things still to knock into place so I’m getting there!

This Month

So, every month I want to add in a bit of, well, me, to the blog: What I’ve been up to, whether I’ve been anywhere fun, what I’ve been enjoying, watching, reading and so on.

But also, to remain positive, some goals, and things that I’m looking forward to, and so, instead of looking back, looking forward to – The Month Ahead!

Just as a bit more of a personal side to the blog really!

Winter Sparkle Scarf – Easy Chunky Knit Project

We are very much feeling the winter at the moment, it is so dull here still. I thought I’d brighten up the blog with a quick make! Adding a little sparkle and a finished project to the feed!

I couldn’t resist this cream coloured baby-soft sparkle yarn when I saw it.

Picking it up in Aldi in around September or October last year for about £5 for four balls. I’m a sucker for crafting on a budget, so I nabbed it.
