Getting to Know the Cricut Maker *

If there is any single craft item on my ultimate wish list; it is the Cricut Maker. The ultimate smart cutting machine! For someone that does as varied a selection of crafts as I do, it is truly a craft room must-have, for so many reasons.

This is a sponsored conversation; written by me on behalf of Cricut. All of The following opinions and text are my own.

Getting to know the Cricut Maker

The hard thing for me, is that it doesn’t come cheap, so is it something I could make the best use of? Is it right for me? What does it do? I’m sure there are others out there who feel the same way. If that’s you, read on!

EK Tools Circle Punch * Review

The EK Tools Circle Punch in this post was gifted, all opinions are my own.

As a paper crafter (OK amongst many things!) I am really familiar with EK Success, their stickers, papers and punches are well-known and widely available online, even here in the UK, my Amazon wishlist contains far too many of their products (Disney range much!) This is of course even before I mention my slight Smash Book addiction (I’m up to six)

EK Tools Circle Punch Review

I follow them on Instagram; because they post loads of fun project ideas and inspiration!

EK Tools Circle Punch

Recently I was a bit cheeky, and admitting I didn’t have a circle punch, I jokingly asked if they’d send me one to take part in a challenge over on Instagram… And to my surprise they did!  Very quickly I received this EK Tools Large Punch – 2 ½” circle punch. Obviously a HUGE thank you goes out to them! I’ve wanted one of these for ages!

I said as they had been so kind I would review it here on the blog, so here we go….

A Day Out To – Craft 4 Crafters 2017

On February 18th I ventured out of the craft room and had a fabulous day out at the Craft 4 Crafters show at the Westpoint in Exeter!

Yes… Smash-booked already!

Though I didn’t need anything, fully intending to uphold my decision to work on all of my unfinished projects this year, and not start anything new unless completely necessary (for example cards and gifts). I wanted to go, because these shows are so inspiring!

#CraftBlogClub Secret Santa! (2016 Part 1)

Before I begin, I should introduce the #CraftBlogClub Secret Santa. For a couple of years now I have taken part in the #CraftBlogClub ‘Secret Santa’ gift swap.

What is #CraftBlogClub?

Every Tuesday I participate in a Twitter chat – “#CraftBlogClub” which takes place between 7 and 8pm. It is simply a place to chat about blogging, and crafting with less of a focus on selling than many other Twitter chats.

Which for people like me, who craft as a hobby, is refreshing – and a great way to meet like-minded people online – without being bombarded with sales content. (Don’t  get me wrong, I love to buy handmade, but I like to have a choice in when  and where I choose to shop.)

#CraftBlogClub also have challenges throughout the year, and I have taken part for the last couple of years. The most recent ‘challenge’ for #CraftBlogClub was set, the Secret Santa gift swap. We all submit our names, and get emailed with someone else at random, to make a gift for! And in return someone gets your name, and you receive a nice surprise in the post!

Of course I couldn’t post about this particular swap until after Christmas, but before I do that, I thought I would go back and share previous swaps!
