I wanted to make something using some of my viny stash this year; but I wasn’t sure what to do for ages. Not for a lack of ideas, but quite the opposite! If you’re anything like me, you’ll know there are SO MANY ideas for using HTV; (Heat Transfer Vinyl, or Iron-On Vinyl) available online. In the end I decided to use up some of my pink glitter HTV; to make a vinyl t-shirt with a bit of festive sparkle!
This post is not remotely sponsored but uses items from Cricut I was gifted in the past.
I decided what we needed above our fireplace was some fun Halloween bunting! (Stu has since suggested I make Christmas bunting, so watch this space)! This is a quick and easy sewing project for beginners or experienced sewists!
I chose to decorate using some vinyl and my Cricut Maker. Of course you could cut out letters from paper or fabric and glue or sew them on; this is a pretty versatile project, and of course you can choose fabrics or colours that match your own preferences.
Something I really wanted to do this year; was make some His and Hers Valentines mugs using my Cricut, and some vinyl. This was quite easy to achieve, and I already had the perfect font on my laptop.
I’ve said before that we don’t really take Valentine’s Day very seriously as a couple; earlier this week; Stu picked me up a new toothbrush and joked he was tempted to give it to me on Sunday… But as it’s so cold at the moment I came up with the perfect gift; (which clearly is going to be seen a bit early!).
I planned this a little while ago… Well, when I say I planned this project, I knew I wanted to make a Christmas cushion. It was choosing the design that took a little more time!
Way back when I planned the Halloween Cat Cushion, I also planned this project! (How’s that for organised?!) So when I picked up the plain black cotton cushion cover in Ikea, I also picked up a red one!
