On the desk is back! I’m planning on being a little more realistic this year though! With motivation in mind, I thought I’d start the year with a new cross-stitch project; this is one kit I’ve had lined up for a while, Love Tree from Bothy Threads.
I didn’t really get into any stitching last year, and so I do need to finish The Scarf, but I thought starting fresh with a new project would motivate me. So let me introduce you to my current project…
Can’t believe we’re in June! I have been trying to keep busy with cleaning and garden stuff this week; my flowers are growing, so I thought it only fitting that I work on something similar craft-wise too!
This year I picked up a few mini cross stitch kits. For those moments when I’m not as motivated to work on a larger project. This week has been one of those weeks…
Day 5! This month I am taking part in the A-Z Challenge. After much deliberation I have decided to do a Disney themed cross-stitch sampler, so this post we continue with the A-Z Challenge: Disney Alphabet E!
In case you missed it, this month I am taking part in the A-Z Challenge, you can read more about it on the website here: a-to-zchallenge.com.
So once again, this month I am stitching a Disney character based alphabet sampler.
Hello April! This month I am taking part in the A-Z Challenge. After much deliberation I have decided to do a Disney themed cross-stitch sampler, so this post we begin with the A-Z Challenge: Disney Alphabet A!
I thought I would start with a project I have worked on before; Santoro Gorjuss The Scarf cross-stitch; but just struggled to make time to work on! Here’s hoping this new year, I have refreshed motivation!
This week I’ve decided to dig out a cross-stitch kit! I used to do tons of stitching, and then I got out of the habit, and it’s something I’d like to get back to again. I find it really relaxing and I’ve actually been stitching since I was 7. I’d like to complete at least one kit this year, as I have many waiting for me to even start!
There’s nothing like a break away, and we recently had a weekend away in Somerset, staying in the pretty village of Montacute, and after going to Haynes Motor Museum on the way, we set out to visit a couple of National Trust sites nearby to enjoy a relaxed sunny Saturday… Continue reading “Somerset 2019 (Part 2) – Montacute House”→
Hoop art, is definitely more popular now than it was a few years ago, and it is a great craft for making a gift, or even decorating at Christmas, there are SO many great Christmas fabric designs which are really good fun for many projects; and it is nice to have a different use if you’re not big on sewing, as I wasn’t up til a couple of years ago!
This post contains items which I have kindly been gifted * All opinions are my own.
Christmas fabric is also a great eco friendly alternative to paper for wrapping! Especially for those harder to wrap gifts!
A little over a year ago I purchased a fat quarter of really pretty Alice in Wonderland cotton fabric at a craft show. Simply because I liked the pattern and the subtle colours; though I love all things Alice, and have slight theming in the craft room! I just needed the right fat quarter project!
When I bought it, I had no idea what I was going to make with it, it was definitely one of those “just really like the print” purchases, (you know what I mean right?) and so, of course it sat in storage, not forgotten, just awaiting inspiration.
I haven’t been working on much lately, but I thought I’d share some fun Mr Men and Little Miss, cross-stitch pieces I’ve been doing for a while now!
I’d saved the page of whichever magazine these were printed in originally, so I can’t remember where they were from, but I had the patterns for two Mr Men and two Little Miss characters, and found them a few weeks ago, so thought I’d work on those while watching tv in the evenings!
