Paulos Circus 2021 – Back to the Big Top*

We were delighted to see that Paulos Circus, and the big top tend were heading back to Cornwall in summer 2021! Of course we have been lucky enough to enjoy the last two shows, though I was afraid we would miss it, as we have had family visiting last week! As it happens, I was offered free tickets* to see the show with our guests too! Making it an extra special experience, as some of our party had never been to the circus before!

Paulos Circus 2021 - Isabelle's Tour

Currently visiting Newquay, Cornwall until September 18th, you can still catch the show, before it heads out of town! And of course for those not in the area, check out the website and the end of the post, to see if the tour is heading close to you!

The tickets were gifted* in return for an honest review, all opinions are my own.

The First Skip to the End Podcast Event – #Skipfest 2019

I’m going to begin this post with a disclaimer,

this will not be a standard event review.

I’m a huge fan of Skip to the End, and have been for so long, that I can’t quite pinpoint when I started listening! so much so that here in 2019 my annual Movie Challenge here on the blog is based on just one of many features on the podcast. STTESo who/what is Skip to the End? There’s something refreshingly different about this particular movie podcast (and I’ve listened to a fair few over the last few years) and it’s of no surprise to me that Skip to the End, and hosts Mark, Ben and Gemma, have managed to produce something more than just a fun fortnightly movie pod, with listeners exceeding 10.8 million . It’s a twice monthly riot, of in-jokes, laugh out loud moments, genuine friendship, and of course reviews, games, recommendations and more! All this and the fact is clear to all listeners, they are three friends, passionate about films (some rather questionable!) Spending time talking about what they love. It’s an honest, uncensored podcast, that doesn’t care for a cliched critical outlook. And with this attitude, they have brought together people from all over the place, and in doing so created a pocket fandom, complete with fan-nickname: The SkipFam.

A Night at the Circus *

When the opportunity arose to attend Paulos Circus’ latest show, and share our experience on the blog, Stu and I jumped at the chance. We decided to stay away from social media searches, and so we had no idea what to expect, we were excited! We weren’t to be disappointed!

Paulos Circus Big Top!

I can’t remember the last time I went to the circus, long enough that times have changed and the presence of animals is thankfully no longer a thing. Looking forward to acrobatics, fun and more… But what would we get?

This is a sponsored post; I was gifted tickets to Paulo’s Circus in return for an honest review.

A Day Out To – Craft 4 Crafters 2017

On February 18th I ventured out of the craft room and had a fabulous day out at the Craft 4 Crafters show at the Westpoint in Exeter!

Yes… Smash-booked already!

Though I didn’t need anything, fully intending to uphold my decision to work on all of my unfinished projects this year, and not start anything new unless completely necessary (for example cards and gifts). I wanted to go, because these shows are so inspiring!
