A Day Out to – St Mawes Castle

This post would have originally been our first car show since the pandemic, but thanks to some inclement weather, it was cancelled! Not to waste a day off we decided to head down to St Mawes Castle, an English Heritage site, not too far from Falmouth.

A day out to...

This was a fun impromptu day out to make up for the lack of show! We visited from about 2pm, and they close at 5 on a Sunday. You can of course check the website for opening times and prices.

The Seal Sanctuary – Saving Sealife in Cornwall

Located in Gweek, Cornwall, not far from Helston; the Seal Sanctuary, part of the Sea Life Trust charity; is a great day out for all the family. With nature walks, farm animals, penguins sea lions and of course seals. Recently the Secret Creek, home to three totally cute beavers. Located in a pretty coastal valley, and open year round, there is plenty to see on repeat visits.

Tintagel, on the north coast of Cornwall, is a village steeped in Arthurian Legend, or in other words is alleged to be the former home of King Arthur. Now run by English Heritage, you can visit the site, enjoy the coast, and learn what part Cornwall may have played in this historical tale.

A Day Out To – Newquay Zoo

Now that restrictions have eased a little; I’m so glad to be able to start going out again, and this week we visited Newquay Zoo!

Of course the lockdown has had a huge impact on many businesses and so we wanted to try and support some local places by paying them a visit. There are of course many places to donate too, which is really amazing; and a great way to support the places you love if you can spare a little to help any of those struggling.

A day out to...

Newquay Zoo, is actually one of the first places I visited when I moved to Cornwall almost ten years ago; and we’ve been a few times since; because it’s great for a wander, and of course who doesn’t like seeing lots of cute animals!

A Day Out to The British Motor Museum

The British Motor Museum is a brilliant and unique car museum; located in Gaydon, Warwickshire, just off J12 of the M40. Stu and I have discussed going for a while now; and as we were recently in Leicester; we were in the perfect position to visit as we headed home to Cornwall.

A day out to...

Of course we’re not a stranger to automotive museums; though Stu hadn’t visited for years and it was a first time visit for me.

This post has not been sponsored in any way, all opinions are my own

A Night at the Circus *

When the opportunity arose to attend Paulos Circus’ latest show, and share our experience on the blog, Stu and I jumped at the chance. We decided to stay away from social media searches, and so we had no idea what to expect, we were excited! We weren’t to be disappointed!

Paulos Circus Big Top!

I can’t remember the last time I went to the circus, long enough that times have changed and the presence of animals is thankfully no longer a thing. Looking forward to acrobatics, fun and more… But what would we get?

This is a sponsored post; I was gifted tickets to Paulo’s Circus in return for an honest review.

Car Show Season, 3 Fab Cornwall Shows 2019

Yes, it’s that time of year again; Car Show Season! I’ve blogged about car shows before, and of course we visited Haynes Motor Museum recently; so it’s no secret that we’re car fans in this house (even me and I can’t drive!)

This year, instead of individual posts, I thought I’d round everything up into one big post.

In this post, I’ll share some photos and information from the fab shows we’ve attended this year! You can also find some photos on my highlights on Instagram; from the Marie Curie Country and Classics show this past weekend.
