Now we’re heading towards the end of September, the leaves are turning, it’s somehow immediately turning colder in the evenings, and so, you’re maybe starting to think about spending more time inside crafting? If that’s the case, why not take part in this week’s # CraftRoomInspiredChallenge!

Now we’re in mid September, the leaves are starting to turn, and you’re more likely to find some sticks and twigs around… If that’s the case, why not take part in this week’s # CraftRoomInspiredChallenge!
Week 1 of the # CraftRoomInspiredChallenge – Leaves.
Well, thanks to this challenge, I now actually have prompts for my crafting. This month, as well as working on some old favourites, which is becoming the norm lately; I will be doing some Autumn crafts!
We’re heading for more of an autumn vibe, though I’m hoping the sunny days hold out for a little longer!
This month, for a bit of fun; I thought I’d spend the next few weeks sharing a sneak peek of my preparations for the # CraftRoomInspiredChallenge; using different materials each week, including leaves, twigs, old cosy socks and orange fabric, yarn or thread. The final results will be shared over on Instagram every Sunday.
How to Brighten Up Your Garden When You Rent (Part 2)
Quick cotton bunting is great for birthdays and other events; or like me, you can just use it to brighten up a dull space…
Coming up with ways to brighten up a boring, and rather grey corner of the garden without modifying anything (as we rent), can be a bit tricky, but this is a really quick and easy project, that you can do for all sorts of occasions, or, like me, just for fun!
Way back when I planned the Halloween Cat Cushion, I also planned this project! (How’s that for organised?!) So when I picked up the plain black cotton cushion cover in Ikea, I also picked up a red one!
When I say I planned this project, I knew I wanted to make a Christmas cushion. It was choosing the design that took a little more time!
So, apparently I have something of an addiction! I made a bauble wreath a couple of years ago, which you can find in last years Blogmas posts…
The first wreath lives in the hallway, which is decorated in blue white and silver. Our living room however is all traditional green red and gold! And so, I decided to make a second wreath for in there too!
It is rare for me to do Halloween crafting, at least in any great amount. As much as I love Autumn; I just don’t see much that takes my fancy, though perhaps next year, it will make a change? I say this after I made this fun Halloween black cat cushion cover!
So while I will probably never do a FULL blogtober; as October isn’t really a time I’ve felt much need to blog a great deal about; I hope you enjoy this small crafty project!
I was gifted some of the products within this post from Hobbycraft,
gifted items have been clearly marked with an *
Valentines Day, is something neither Stu or I take very seriously, though we sometimes give fun gifts to each other anyway! It’s only a couple of weeks after Stu’s birthday, so we’re usually pretty relaxed about it.
It is however a chance to do a bit of crafting here on the blog, though I would say that although some are Valentines products, they could be made and given for many occasions, from birthdays, anniversaries to Mothers Day (March 31st UK readers), and of course weddings!
