I look forward to visiting the local Christmas market here in Truro every year; it’s always great fun and a great chance to see some wonderful handmade products made in Cornwall. I always try to do a bit of my Christmas shopping here; and there are usually some cheeky samples to enjoy too!
While I was having a wander, I thought I’d take some photos of some of the brilliant handmade products around the market! There were SO many stalls I didn’t get a chance to take photos of; as it was extremely busy, but here are a few things I loved!
Hoop art, is definitely more popular now than it was a few years ago, and it is a great craft for making a gift, or even decorating at Christmas, there are SO many great Christmas fabric designs which are really good fun for many projects; and it is nice to have a different use if you’re not big on sewing, as I wasn’t up til a couple of years ago!
This post contains items which I have kindly been gifted * All opinions are my own.
Christmas fabric is also a great eco friendly alternative to paper for wrapping! Especially for those harder to wrap gifts!
My guest blogger today is Christine, sharing fab gifts for crafters! A fellow craft blogger who I met through #CraftBlogClub on Twitter; I love her blog Craftyism, which is full of tutorials, tips, reviews and other crafty goodness.
Like me Christine is a fan of a variety of different crafts; and I’m so happy to share her gift guide.
Thank you so much Christine for this fab post! So many gorgeous pieces, and some much needed Christmas shopping inspiration!
I enjoy sewing but am definitely a beginner; so fat quarter projects are a simple, fun way to get used to my sewing machine; and get creative!
And with fat quarter projects in mind, I thought I would share how I made this cute reversible tote bag. I’ve made a couple of these bags now, one as a gift, and one for myself, and they’re a fairly quick make once you have the materials ready.
I love making a Christmas Hamper, it’s a versatile, fun gift to put together and you can really make them bespoke for who you’re gifting them to! I thought I’d share one of mine with you to get you inspired!
Are you looking for a last-minute gift idea, or one that you can plan ahead for? Hampers are suitable for so many occasions, and here’s one I made up for family this Christmas.
