Through May, if you have seen on Twitter, we’ve set ourselves a mini movie challenge; 30 years of film. A look back at some of our favourite films, from 1990 – 2020! An especially tough challenge for some years; and of course an easy choice in others!
We didn’t have any rules in particular for our mini challenge. The idea – choose one film each day in May with a UK cinematic release of the year in question. We did try to pick a variety of films though we did notice some patterns emerging! It was so much fun I thought I’d share the list, and of course I’ll update the last couple of days!!

As a reminder, I’ve never attempted bullet journaling before. But having tried scrapbooking (a lot); something between scrapping and art journaling; and even just having a planner last year(!) I thought it was time I gave it a go! In this post I’m sharing my May 2021 setup…

I got my journal for around £10 on Amazon, from Stationery Island; I actually got a kit which came with a ruler, some stickers (yay) and a pen.

It’s interesting when it comes to blogging; as to how much I post when it comes to sharing ideas, goals and plans. I don’t tend to share a lot of plans ahead of time; largely because I don’t work to any sort of major plan! I have a couple of projects I tend to line up for the year; but other than that, it’s what I decide to do, fairly openly here on the blog!
This year my A-Z Challenge theme is: The Craft Room and Beyond – A Retrospective. A look back at previous content and basically a chance to share and revisit some things from the archive. As I have said before; if you see something that piques your interest that I don’t link to; certainly seek out the search bar, or get in touch!

Happy New Year! So, here we are, the beginning of a new year, a fresh start, a new page etc etc! I’m sure I’m not the only one typing “Hello 2021” with a little more hope than previous years!
I’m not going to be all “New Year – New Me”, because it’s not my style. I don’t even have a huge amount of “goals” but I thought I’d take a little bit of time to share some of what you can expect here on The Craft Room and Beyond this year!

This month we’ve been watching a TON of Christmas movies, and I’ve been sharing them over on Instagram, using the # 24 days of Christmas movies; and thought I’d share the list here on the blog!
Marking the end of this year’s 12 Days of Christmas; I thought I’d share the whole list here on the blog now it’s Christmas Eve, as we always watch the same two films on Christmas Eve!

I am a self-confessed movie addict; I watch more films than tv (and one most nights!) On my previous blogs I have always done an annual movie challenge; varying in theme, and complexity, but always good fun!
This year Stu and I have decided on a fun twist on the challenges of old, and so begins The Friday Night Film…

March! It’s been a fairly quiet month again this month, mostly because we’ve been really busy with work, though we have had a little down-time here and there, so here’s a bit of a catch up!
We’ve not had any events in March, which means it’s been fairly quiet generally, we did enjoy a day out in St Ives (which you can read all about here)! That’s about the extent of our going out this month, the joy of how days off have come up recently, coupled with some rather hit-or-miss weather!

I like to come up with a little movie challenge every year – some years have been more successful than others!
This year of course we had the box set/movie series challenge, and in the past we have gone through the alphabet watching a film for each letter… Though we felt this was too relaxed a rule, so as fun as it was we want to figure out a way of doing it to make it more fun!
So what can we do in 2019…
