I see these “easy string eggs” all over the place online, but rarely see HOW to make them. So I thought I’d put some together, and share the process here; in case you wanted to make some of your own!
So, they’re super easy to make, and you don’t need much in the way of supplies or preparation. There IS however a lot of mess, so what follows is a simple step by step process. Of course these work for any time; depending on the colour, and you can make them any size you like, using thread, or yarn or even string!

When thinking about Easter this year; and how I was going to create content aimed at everyone, not just kids; I geared my thoughts more towards home, than Easter itself. One easy thing to do; for any season, is creating a simple table runner to set the tone for the season.
A table runner Kay, Really? Honestly, it’s true though. We don’t have much in the way of dressing for our dinner table; (which is usually home to piles of junk; and very occasionally my sewing machine). It’s mostly covered with an oilcloth tablecloth, with a bright funky diner design. But sometimes it’s nice to clear it off and actually eat there; and making a bit of a feature of it, makes it more special. And it’s EASY!

As we’re still in Lockdown; and I wanted to up my seasonal content; I’ve been looking for some fun Easter crafting. Mostly because I just want fun things to work on! I was checking out some quick things to do and found some cute mini Easter Canvas squares, which seemed just the thing!
So I love a bit of colouring, it’s relaxing, and colour in canvasses are easy to do with a handful of pens, if you don’t want the hassle of dealing with paint! I should point out, although I have worked with Hobbycraft in the past; this post is not sponsored; I just wanted to share it!

Something I really wanted to do this year; was make some His and Hers Valentines mugs using my Cricut, and some vinyl. This was quite easy to achieve, and I already had the perfect font on my laptop.
I’ve said before that we don’t really take Valentine’s Day very seriously as a couple; earlier this week; Stu picked me up a new toothbrush and joked he was tempted to give it to me on Sunday… But as it’s so cold at the moment I came up with the perfect gift; (which clearly is going to be seen a bit early!).

When coming up with Valentines craft ideas, I wanted to take the opportunity to try some new things; and do something a little different. With that in mind; I thought I’d try my hand at decorating these cute wooden hanging hearts; which you can find in most craft supply shops.
In this post I’m going to share four hanging hearts, decorated three different ways.
There’s also a tiny cross-stitch update right at the bottom of the post too!
