The Seal Sanctuary – Saving Sealife in Cornwall

Located in Gweek, Cornwall, not far from Helston; the Seal Sanctuary, part of the Sea Life Trust charity; is a great day out for all the family. With nature walks, farm animals, penguins sea lions and of course seals. Recently the Secret Creek, home to three totally cute beavers. Located in a pretty coastal valley, and open year round, there is plenty to see on repeat visits.

A day out to...

We have visited at different times of year before; and can definitely attest to there being lots to see, at different times of year rain or shine.

Garden Bunting and Wild Week 3

What lovely amazing weather we’ve been having! All the better for getting out in the garden, and of course; if I’m spending more time out there, it made me realise how much I needed to renew the garden bunting!

30 Days Wild graphic with tree and flowers and a bee in the 0

This has become even more noticeable, as I’ve been out planting; doing more of the 30 days wild list; and of course, enjoying family time in the sunshine!

A Day Out To – The South West Coast Path

The rules have changed and we can finally head out in the car again, so we’re driving for a walk along a section of the South West Coast Path!

Written during Lockdown May 2020

Deciding to go a little further away, to make a change from the local park, and a wander to the supermarket, we drove to nearby Perranporth for a much needed dose of sea air!

We headed out to enjoy the glorious sunshine, choosing to stay away from the beach, and heading to the cliff path.

This last weekend has been beautiful, with sunny skies and temperatures bordering on (dare I say it?) warm! We decided it was the perfect time to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan!

A day out to...

In comparison this time last year; we were facing the Beast From the East, and hiding away from the cold and snow!

Around this time last year we made this guy! Using up all the snow in the garden!

A Day Out To – Glendurgan Garden – Rainbows of Colour

Since returning from Spain, I haven’t had time for the holiday blues, as it’s safe to say the weather here at home has been wonderful! We made the most of it this weekend; using our National Trust membership and visiting Glendurgan Garden for a sunny walk, now that flowers everywhere are blooming and things are far less wintery!
